8-7-10: TAMARA’S CHILD MEETS MIRANDA LAMBERT:
Marilyn Jenkins is a diehard Miranda Lambert fan. She is also a devoted fan of B K Mayo’s novel Tamara’s Child. Recently, Marilyn got to combine these two passions when she presented Miranda Lambert with an autographed copy of Tamara’s Child. She did this at the “Meet and Greet” just prior to Lambert’s concert at the Douglas County Fair on Thursday, August 6, 2010. Here’s how the meeting went in Marilyn’s own words:
"Seeing the beautiful Miranda Lambert in person was really awesome. She is so genuine and down to earth. What strikes me about her songs, whether humorous or serious, each one tells a story with a message. That is what her songs have in common with B K Mayo's novel, Tamara's Child. It was my privilege to present her with this wonderful, heartrending story. Miranda thanked me and said she would read the book. What an experience!"
7-18-10: TAMARA'S CHILD IS FRONT PAGE NEWS
